Squammie is a male parrot crossed with a chameleon living in Sorata Madagascar.
He is a grumpy, unpredictable little fellow who likes doing his own thing and keeps to himself most of the time. Squammie is friendly enough to get along with other animals, but you'll usually find him perched alone on a branch pondering life's complexities.
He likes to try to hide his emotions, but his chameleon color-changing abilities usually gives him away as to what he is feeling, much to his chagrin. If that doesn't give him away, his tendency to squawk loudly whenever he senses danger will. While he prefers not to socialize too often, he's usually the first one to alert his friends of unusual activity and threats to the rainforest.
He is often self-conscious about looking different to the other birds and chameleons, and wonders if there's someone that looks like him in the rainforest. As a hybrid creature, he has to deal with the fact that his body moves slower than his head and mouth, and even though he is usually perched high up on the trees, he is always looking at the sky and wondering what it would be like to fly freely like the other parrots. He also wishes he had the long and sticky tongue like the other chameleons, but is too fidgety to hide and ambush his prey so he often gets frustrated.
Morning - Squammie tries to catch the early bug/insect; not easy to do when you don't have a long tongue like the other chameleons
Miday - As a hybrid animal, sometimes the camouflage doesn't work quite as well as it should, so some things stick out more than others
Evening - Watching out for predators is an important part of survival, especially when you don't have working wings like the other birds
The next morning - Looking into the reflection, Squammie realizes that he wouldn't change a single thing for the world
